There are two different messages, and they mean quite different things. Read which one you're getting - it tells you where the problem is.
"This form is no longer available"
This is the common one, and it always means something about this specific form or its template. Four possible causes, all fixable by you:
- The form is switched off. Open the template's Issuance form tab and check the enable toggle.
- The template is archived. Archived templates can't issue passes, so their forms stop. Unarchive it from Pass templates.
- The form hit its cap. If you set a maximum number of passes and it's been reached, the form stops accepting. Raise or clear the cap.
- The account is suspended. Rare, and you'd know - get in touch.
"This form isn't available yet"
Rarer, and it means something different: the site's bot protection isn't answering, so PocketPass is declining to serve a form it can't protect.
This isn't anything wrong with your form. You could have built it perfectly and still see this.
This is site configuration rather than anything in your dashboard, so there's nothing for you to change. If a form shows this, get in touch - and in the meantime you can still issue passes by hand or over the API.
The form loads but won't submit
If the form itself renders and submissions are refused, the likely causes are:
- A required field wasn't filled, or required consent wasn't ticked. The form says which.
- Rate limits. There are per-visitor and per-form hourly limits. You can hit these while testing repeatedly - wait an hour, or test from a different connection.
- The cap was reached between loading the page and submitting.
Nothing saves in the builder
If saving the form errors rather than the public page failing, check the message. The builder validates before publishing and will name what's missing - a form name, at least one field, a label on every field, options on every dropdown, a consent message where consent is required, or a valid URL for a footer link.
Working out which problem you have
- Open your form link in a private browsing window.
- Read the message carefully - "no longer available" and "isn't available yet" are different problems.
- "No longer available" means your form, template or cap. Work through the four causes above - it's nearly always the enable toggle or an archived template.
- "Isn't available yet" means site configuration. Get in touch.
In the meantime
While forms are unavailable, you can still issue passes:
