Plans & pricing

One plan priced on active passes in customers' wallets, starting at $49 USD/month with a free trial and unlimited push notifications.

Updated 8/20/2026

PocketPass has one plan. There are no tiers of features to compare, no add-ons to weigh up - every feature is included. The only thing that changes with your bill is scale.

Priced on active passes

You're priced on active passes - passes actually saved in a customer's wallet. Not passes you've issued. Not passes you've created and never delivered. The ones that are genuinely sitting on a phone.

That's deliberate. It means you only pay for real, in-wallet reach. Issuing a thousand passes that nobody installs doesn't cost you; a thousand passes people actually keep is the thing you're paying for, because it's the thing that has value.

The number that matters is active passes, not issued passes. A pass a customer uninstalls or that gets removed stops counting - so passes that aren't really in a wallet don't cost you anything.

What's included

The plan starts at $49 USD/month for up to 1,000 active passes, and comes with a 14-day free trial, so you can build templates and issue passes before you pay anything. Billing is always in USD; the pricing calculator can show indicative prices in other currencies.

It also includes unlimited push notifications. There's no per-message fee - message your passholders as often as it's useful without watching a meter. This is a core difference from SMS, where every message has a cost that adds up fast. With PocketPass the reach you've already paid for stays free to use.

Every feature is part of the one plan. You don't unlock capabilities by upgrading; you're on the full product from day one.

Estimating your cost

The public pricing page has an interactive calculator. Enter your active-pass count and it estimates which tier you land in, so you can size your cost against the audience you actually expect to keep in wallets.

Very large volumes - 100,000+ active passes - are custom, and so is anything that needs your own Apple certificate, an SLA, or a bespoke integration. If that's you, talk to us about a custom plan and we'll come back within one business day.

How your tier is chosen

You never pick a tier. PocketPass counts your active passes and puts you on the tier that count falls into, automatically.

  • Growing - when your active passes pass a tier boundary, you move up straight away. The difference is prorated onto your next invoice, so there's no surprise charge mid-month.
  • Shrinking - when your count drops, you move down at your next renewal rather than immediately. Your current month stays as billed.

You can see your current active-pass count, your tier, and how far you are from the next one under Settings → Billing at any time.

If a payment fails

Nothing your customers are holding breaks. Passes already in wallets keep working and keep updating - field changes and push notifications still go out.

What pauses is new passes: install links and issuance stop until the payment goes through. We'll email you, and Settings → Billing shows how many customers were turned away, so you can see the impact rather than discovering it from a complaint.

If you cancel

Passes already in your customers' wallets stay installed - we don't reach into anyone's phone and delete them. They stop receiving updates, so they'll show whatever they last said, and no new passes can be issued.

Resubscribing under Settings → Billing brings everything back, including updates to the passes people are already holding.

Where to see the current numbers

Pricing tiers can change, so the pricing page is always the source of truth for exact figures and the live calculator. Use it rather than memorising a number here.
